Some Tools available in the SahajVidya Website

| There is a small program called "Acrobat Reader Speedup" contained in a zip file and together with it's associated files will greatly speed up the opening of pdf files in Acrobat Reader, whichever version you are running, up to version 7. This will result in much speedier display of files in the SahajVidya web pages, and is recommended for a more enjoyable experience whilst browsing this site. Go to "No. 2. Acrobat SpeedUp Zip file" below and click on 'Download SpeedUp' saving it as a WinZip File onto your desktop or in your temp folder... and then paste it into a new folder alongside the folder containing your Acrobat Reader, and call it something like 'Acrobat Reader Speedup Files', and then extract all the files. Then run the file called 'Reader SpeedUp.exe'. You can follow the instructions, or simply accept the defaults by clicking on 'Next'... and then accept the default 'Speedup-Fast (recommended)... and then click on 'Finish'. The 'ReadMe.txt' file is also helpful in understanding what's happening. Now see the difference...

There is also a small program called 'Start Page Guard' which will prevent anyone changing your chosen HomePage in your browser window. Again download, saving as a zip file, extract and run. Then simply paste the url of your chosen website into the StartPage Guard window. If you prefer, you can paste this site's web address: http://www.sahajvidya.org/SahajVidya/h1o0m8e_721.htm You can also download the CustomDictionary file, saving again as a zip file then extracting the 'Custom.Dic' file and installing into your Word Processor. This will allow you to standardise on the Sahaja spellings used in SahajVidya website. There is the 'SahajVidya Charts' zip file for download also, containing 8 charts. Recently added is the "Sahaj Meetings Introductory CD" (REVISED INSTRUCTIONS) which should be saved as 3 files to your hard drive. Rename the first file (IntroCd1) adding the '.zip' extension. Extract the entire contents of this zip file into a folder with the same name (`Sahaj Meetings Introductory CD), which will create the basic structure. Now download each of parts 2 & 3, and save these two mp3 files to the empty mp3_s folder. You are now ready to burn the contents of the folder to CD, but when you do... make sure not to include the parent folder itself. The Talk is 37 Mb and the Music is 56 Mb, so you will need broadband. Finally there is the "A4 SY Poster" to be saved also as a zip file and then extract the Doc file to be edited in Microsoft Word Processor. The file is protected with a simple password to prevent any damage due to different elements getting displaced. Enter xxxxxxx as the password to allow editing, under Tools > Unprotect Document. Then carefully amend any/all elements to reflect your own meeting. When you are happy, select Tools > Protect Document, and then choose the 'Forms' radio button and enter password to protect your work. Select Print as A4 on best quality photo paper with best quality settings. Enjoy. Back to HomePage |
